Fantastic pannier/backpack! Easily converts from one to another. As it happens today was the first day I used it and got caught in a downpour. The pack itself was water resistant and I made sure to stop and put on the accompanying rain guard - worked great. It’s compact (I got the 22l) but holds a lot of stuff. Lots of pockets for organization, and the bottle holders on the sides work well too. Upon first use, very pleased with my purchase.

The bag is versatile for a student needing portability with an ability to attach to a bike as a pannier. The bag is durable and can stand up to bad weather. It has enough capacity to make it useful without being too cumbersome to carry around. I would recommend this to anyone needing a single bag for portability on a bike for school or office.

Very well made bag, use on my daily commute, stands up to bumps and jolts, even lets me carry a traveller of coffee. Love it

Excellent backpack and pannier combo. The waterproof cover is a nice addition and it is very comfortable to use as backpack. Can carry a large load easily with lots of storage.

Two-wheel gear was very quick to send an entire replacement rail to replace the Broken tab on the spring-loaded red klick fix button. The tabs on the red button seem to be a weak link in an otherwise good rail system. Perhaps the manufacturer should consider using different material or more robust tabs

Best backpack I’ve ever owned.

This is a great bag. The compartments are well thought out and provide ample storage for everything I need with easy access. The material is great and based on other products I own from 2WG I'm certain it will outlast any of my other bike accessories. The mounting system is easy to use and works great, the bag did come with additional tack straps but even when used mountain biking I have yet to need them. Overall this bag exceeds my expectations and the tack straps and Joey energy system are just additional perks of purchasing from a great company.

Highly recommend the Commute Backpack (26 L)! I absolutely love it. I’m out commuting every day of the year in Boston, MA and this backpack handles all of my weather and work cargo needs with flying colors. Side pocket for a large U-lock is very secure, ditto for laptop storage, and the waterproofing handles everything from the occasional spritz to the Nor’easters (where the fluorescent green backpack cover comes out, and greatly helps with visibility). The craftsmanship is outstanding; this thing is built to last forever. I did have prong break off of the plastic waist clip (normal wear-and-tear), and I received excellent customer service. This was an easily replaceable part and Two Wheel Gear helped me get a replacement clip really fast, which I really appreciate from a sustainability angle. I’d buy this product again in a heartbeat. Thanks guys!

This pannier is ideal for commuting to work, utilitarian (e. g., grocery shopping) errands, and even a weekend bike tour.

It is well made; the backpack straps hide away nicely; the upper rack attachments don't cut into my upper back; it is water resistant & a rain cover is included. The description of the 22L Pannier Backpack Convertible 2.0 Lite is accurate.

If I still worked (I'm retired but do lots of bicycle advocacy stuff) I'd use this pannier every day.

There's not much to say here other than, "this thing rocks".

Based on the YouTube reviews, I may encounter issues the first time I ride with this in the wet and yuck, but we're not there yet. So far, this thing is freakin' awesome!

I’ve been daily driving this bag for a few weeks now and can confidently recommend it to my friends and family. I love that it’s able to fit my 17in work laptop, is super easy to convert between backpack and pannier, has some standard water resistance supplemented by a rain cover, and is overall a well made bag.

My biggest concern when I got the bag was that I would feel the pannier loops through the back of the bag, and it would be uncomfortable. The good news is that as long as the clips are appropriately spaced to sit between my spine and shoulder blades, I don’t notice them. I do notice them when I have my laptop inside the bag, but I rarely use my bag in the backpack configuration during the workday, and my laptop is larger than normal. A 13 of 15inch will probably be a non issue.

One small issue I noticed is that the zippers catch on the corners of the large pocket out of the box. This issue has been mitigated as the bag has worked in, and it no longer snags as easily. Additionally, the rain cover that comes with the bag needs a little adjustment to fit properly, so I would suggest testing it out and tightening it appropriately before you need to throw it on in the rain. To it’s credit though, it did withstand a 30min downpour with no issues or leaking, so very happy with the performance of the rain cover.

Overall this is an excellent bag I would recommend without hesitation.

I originally bought the smaller version of this bag and used it for two years with near-complete satisfaction. It was super functional for my commute and workday, amazing for all weather, easy to use the pannier mechanism, and very comfortable on my back.

Some holes sprouted up in the interior and exterior mesh fabric so I contacted TwoWheelGear customer service to inquire about exercising the product warranty. They were extremely receptive and even let me upgrade to the larger version of the bag by paying the difference in price! The new version of the bag seems even better than the previous version!

My only suggestions for the bag would be to construct the interior pockets out of something other than mesh to allow them not to develop holes as easily, and perhaps add more exterior pockets to allow for easier access to more things. Maybe a bottom pocket to easily store rain gear and/or the bag cover?
