KLICKfix Kompakt Rail - Pannier Mounting System
- Mounting hooks work with Ø 6-16 mm bike racks (bar thickness)
- Press the top button to slide/adjust hooks horizontally across rail
- Adjustable max pannier hook width: 6.5 inches (16.5 cm)
- Adjustable minimum pannier hook width: 3.75 inches (9.5 cm)
- Red spring latch securely locks pannier down to the carrier
- Includes mounting hardware set
- The Kompakt Rail hooks are shorter so they reduce the problem of the hook making contact with an E-bike where the battery is integrated into the carrier
The red retainer clip failed again - see prior reviews on this issue - my original failed clip was promptly replaced. However, it too has failed after about 6 months of use. Same problem: retention tabs have sheered off as noted by pictures on Stuart's review. This needs a re-design with sturdier materials.
Hi Peter, Thanks for your review. We have replaced the 'KLICKfix' AKA 'Rixen & Kaul' Kompakt Rail for you several times free of cost. I believe we also noted the weight limit of the system to you as well which you said your load greatly exceeds. So there is possibly a flaw in the weight the system can hold or the amount of weight you carry in your bag...

Two-wheel gear was very quick to send an entire replacement rail to replace the Broken tab on the spring-loaded red klick fix button. The tabs on the red button seem to be a weak link in an otherwise good rail system. Perhaps the manufacturer should consider using different material or more robust tabs

After my review about the broken retainer clip, the company responded promptly. A new mounting system was sent, easily installed, and I'm back in business. Superb customer support; will continue to support them in turn.
